Issa's Fast and Furious hearings nothing but a Witch Hunt

President Obama asserted executive yesterday on certain Justice Department documents related to the "Fast and Furious" political witchunt by Rep. Darrell Issa and House Republicans. If the witch hunt itself isn’t absurd enough now the Fox News and GOP talking point of the day is the President himself must be directly involved in what the GOP believes was a gun running conspiracy to have people killed so that Americans will rise up against gun ownership and the Second Amendment.
Apparently Darrell Issa and the House Republicans have nothing better to do than put together this charade show trial of wasting millions of dollars in taxpayer money to make repeated attempts at embarrassing the president and contributing to his electoral defeat. The Republican Party has never sunk so low as in this moment, abusing their privilege and power and seeking to destroy Barack Obama through almost totalitarian means.

The Attorney General has already handed over roughly 7,000 documents and the additional documents Issa is demanding to review are non-subpoenable by Congress as they relate to open investigations. The documents that Issa is demanding are protected by law. So the lawmaker who is contemptuous of laws himself holds the Attorney General in contempt for upholding the law. This is a quote from one of the first documents already handed over:

"The Department of Justice says it already has handed over more than 7,000 pages of records to House investigators, and that the remaining material Issa wants could jeopardize criminal prosecutions. One of those criminal prosecutions is the investigation into the death of Agent Brian Terry." The President has to invoke executive privilege because Issa is abusing his chairmanship in the name of good theater. His demand to see documents relating to open investigations could actually get more people killed. But so what? "It'll be good theater" to hear Darrell Issa tell it.
So while we have millions of people still out of work and our infrastructure continues to fall down around us, we have a GOP who would rather spend our tax dollars on this political theatre. From day one the Republicans declared that they would do whatever it took to defeat this President. Hopefully, this political game should be enough to cost Issa and the rest of the House Republicans their jobs.

New Disturbing Questions About Romney That Won't Go Away

How many wives does Mitt Romney have?

Well we don't have the answer to that, do we?

In a book written by the inventor of Mormonism, which he called “The Book of Mormon”the author,

Joseph Smith, has God saying “Ye shall have many wives.”

now, while most people think Mormonism is just another whacky religion, like Scientology  or Islam, Mitt Romney claims to believe it's “commandments” and that their “Holy Book”, which was written by Joseph Smith, was actually written by God, by God!

So back to the question, how many wives does Mitt Romney have?

Most people believe that marriage is between two people.

A man and a woman, or a woman and a woman, or a man and a man.

The key is it's two people.

Sources say that Romney doesn’t believe this.

Sources close to Romney say he believes marriage is between a man and as many women as he can afford.

Sort of like what Newt Gingrich believes without the divorce part.

We have asked to see Romney's marriage certificate.

He produced a “photocopy” of a marriage certificate.

Does this mean the marriage certificate was altered or forged?

Draw your own conclusion.

Something else kind of troubling about the Mittster.

He has said, “Corporations are people, my friends.”

So, if he believes corporations are people, and they are his friends, does this mean he can marry a corporation?

Can he marry multiple corporations???

These are troubling questions, stay tuned.

Koch Brothers Purchase Wisconsin Governor's Office

The Governorship of Wisconsin has been bought and paid for, showing that, at least in this instance, money trumps people. ......MB
Walker outspent Barrett by a 7-to-1 margin, which may be a sign of things to come for the 2012 election season.
The power of Citizens United brought $30 million to the Walker campaign, most of which came from the Koch brothers Super PAC and sources outside of Wisconsin.
Tom Barrett’s funding came primarily from inside Wisconsin, and only totaled $5 million.
Scott Walker’s victory is bad news for Wisconsin unions, since Walker and the Republican Party will likely use the win to further shrink union membership and rights.
However, while Wisconsin will retain a Republican governor, exit polls showed that President Obama was still favored over Mitt RomneyMitt Romney by a 54% to 42% margin, in the November presidential race.

Romney Vows to Destroy Public Schools

In a speech yesterday Mittens Romney announced his plan  to destroy the public school system in America.

This, of course, being Romney, it goes without saying, is not an original idea of his.

Privatization  has been a thinly veiled strategy of the corporately owned Republican Party since the time of Reagan, yimach shemo.

With the election of President Obama, however, destruction of the public school system has gained a new urgency in Republican/corporate circles.

The, to them, scary fact that a black man could become president meant, in their minds, obstacles needed to be implemented to insure that such a thing would be next to impossible in the future.

As those who pay attention have seen, there is a war going on at this time to disenfranchise black voters.

The main tactic of the war is drug laws, which, in conjunction with a failed Supreme court, allow incarceration of large numbers of black young men and women, with the subsequent removal of their rights to vote, to gain employment, housing and so on.

The drug laws really are a master stroke of genius in that the laws almost exclusively target the poor and blacks.

Ask someone in Beverly Hills, “When was the last time the police kicked down doors in your neighborhood and hauled the occupants off to prison?”

The answer will be”Never, they never knock down doors in our neighborhood, period.”

Ask a black in the inner city and the answer will be, “Last week, yesterday, last month..” and so on.

This in spite of the fact that upper middle class whites consume far more drugs than their “less fortunate” black neighbors.

The City of Philadelphia is currently closing schools in poor neighborhoods, the talk being that 60 inner city schools will be shut down within a year.

All the teachers, support staff, janitors, cooks, nurses, etc. will be fired.

It is being said that, “well, the public schools are failing.”

It would be more correct to say the government is failing, failing to provide even a halfhearted attempt to assist the poor, to give them, as the President has said, “A fair chance to succeed.”

Romney has said that after he destroys public education, he will give vouchers to the poor, so they can go to private schools.

And that may succeed, after a fashion.

But here is our prediction: during the next Presidential election cycle, the idea that we “can't afford” to educate the poor will have gained traction.

People, such as that traitor, Eric Cantor, will say, “Why should society pay for the education of people's  children who have parents that 'refuse' to work?” Or have criminal records, or low IQ’s, or other handicaps.

Our country is about to enter the worst time we have yet experienced if the current Ayn Rand, every man for himself, trend continues.

This discussion is not about charity or selflessness.

It's about survival of the U.S. As we know it.

It's an existential dialogue that won't be resolved in a way that any but the richest of the rich, and the vilest elements of society will approve.

As Frederick Lundenberg once said, “If we run this country by the philosophy that it's a struggle for survival, where only the strong survive, we will soon see the U.S. taken over by the next generation of Al Capones and Machine Gun McGurks.”
