If You Don't Like our Liberal Country, Move to Iran!

Romney is referring to himself as a religious conservative.
That is how the clerics in Iran refer to themselves.
They are both right.
Their complaints about liberals are almost identical.
“They want to make our country secular. They are immoral (unlike the Ayatollahs who murder thousands of their own people or the “Christian “ leaders who kill thousands of 'foreign' children).
Both the conservatives in Iran and the conservatives in America despise sexuality.
I don't mean personally, the clerics have numerous 'wives' and the conservatives in America have 'mistresses'.
But both groups of conservatives condemn liberals for their beliefs and their sex lives.
Both countries are ruled by a small elite, America by it's mainly inherited 'business' class, and Iran by the clerics.
The majority of people in both countries struggle with poverty.
There is the same 'push back' by conservative supporters as there is in the U.S.
When, a couple of years back, Iranians protested the conservative government, thousands of Iranians, who aren't even in the game, economically speaking, violently attacked the 'liberals' i.e., the forces for change.
Here in the U.S., a man, George Zimmerman, gunned down an unarmed black kid, because he was black and walking..oh, and wearing a hoodie.
Americans sent Zimmerman almost a quarter of a million dollars.
He has become a wealthy man as a result of shooting an unarmed teenager.
Only in America.
The conservatives in America are passing laws around the country to make it difficult for young people and minorities to vote.
Young people and minorities tend to vote as liberals.
Conservatives here, as in Iran, HATE Liberals.
Our response?
If you don't like our liberals, move to Iran.
You would be happy there.

NEW PROOF OBAMA IS A COMMUNIST!

President Obama has announced his choices to win America's Highest Civilian Medal, the Medal of Freedom.
As I arrived at work today an acquaintance walked up to me with a huge mug of coffee in his hand.
The logo had a drawing of someone about to shoot a deer (with the face of the President) and the words, “Ted Nugent For President” under the image.

His name is Mark, he is the local GOP committeeman in our district.
I was just finishing my morning coffee before we got started, but I could see Mark had something on his mind.
“I guess you heard...” He began, with a huge grin on his face.
“Heard what?” I asked as I looked at my watch.
“Your boy Hussein Obama as much as admitted he's a Commie!” He crowed.
I sighed, “What are you talking about?”
“He awarded the Medal of Freedom to Bob Dylan!” He chortled triumphantly.
I massaged my temples, “Go on.” I said, although really kind of wishing he'd go away.
“What do you mean,'go on'? That's it. Everyone knows Bob Dylan is a Commie.”
I tried to remain calm, “Mark, hold out your hand.”
“Why”
“I want to check your pulse.I think you might be having a stroke and it's causing dementia.”
He glared at me. “Dylan is a Commie anarchist. It's well known. He don't deny it his own self.”

I continued massaging my temples, “Of course he doesn't deny it, it's ridiculous.”
Mark looked at me kind of strangely, like he was wondering if New Mexico had 'stand your ground laws' on the books.
He growled,”You sayin' Bob Dylan ain't a card carrying Communist?”
I shook my head, “No, what I am saying is you are insane.”
He laughed, “Maybe you'll change your mind after seeing this...”
He shoved his Blackberry across the table, it was opened to a website called something like “Exposingcommunists.com”,
Under the header the headline screamed “Communist organizing songs of the Commie , Bob Dylan (AKA Bob ZIMMERMAN, TRAITOR).

The article read “Bob Dylan, well known communist insurgent and traitor wrote among others, the following pro-communist anthems : “Masters of War” in which he blames patriotic arms manufacturers for 'causing wars'.
'Blowing in the Wind' in which he calls for banning “cannon balls” (a dog whistle term for American Military might)
and “A hard rains a gonna fall” a screeching testament to the peacenik movement which would like to see decent countries give up Nukes.
(We are not actually positive about this one, as we couldn't really figure it out, but one of the college kids that runs errands for this site told us it's 'secret meaning'.)
Like his hero, Karl Marx, another traitor, Bob Dylan writes endlessly about the glories of communism, hiding the meaning from decent Americans by using Islamic and communist symbolism, which decent American don't understand, but is as plain as a grade school primer to freethinkers, communists, anarchists, progressives and Muslims.”

I had to laugh as I handed the blackberry back to Mark.
“You think that's funny?” Mark asked incredulously.
“It's hilarious.” I chuckled.
“You think it's funny that the Muslim Negro atheist President gives America's highest honor to a communist traitor?”
“Well., It's not as funny as you thinking the President is a Muslim atheist.”
He sputtered, “You know people that think like you should move to Russia!”
I stood up and rinsed my coffee cup.
I smiled, “Well, we've thought about it, but we would probably be pretty lonely over there. Here in America we can hang out with all of the commies in Washington and Hollywood.
Dude, I have to get to work, see you later.”
He shook his head, sadly, “Man, you Liberals don't know shit about politics.”
I enjoyed a few more chuckles and left my Republican friend to his fantasy world..

To  my many Republican readers: here's your proof the President is a Commie.

Why Anyone Should Care that Bill O'Reilly Calls Robert Reich A Communist?

Bill O'reilly is the typical bully.
Basically a coward that hides behind arrogance and other people's authority.
Recently Robert Reich said "This morning I left a message on Bill O'Reilly's office phone asking him to invite me onto his show to debate whether public investments in education and infrastructure are needed. What are the odds he'll invite me on?"
The odds are slim to nothing.
O'Reilly likes to "Mix it up with folks who can't respond.
That is his way.
The coward's way.
MFB

Bill O'Reilly, the tumescent personality of Fox News, said on his Friday show "Robert Reich is a communist who secretly adores Karl Marx." (This came after Fox News' Neil Cavoto called me a "sanctimonious twit" for suggesting the rich should pay more in taxes.)
O'Reilly's accusation is odd, to say the least. If we were living in the 1950s, amid Senator Joe McCarthy's communist witch-hunts, the claim might have some bite and cause me injury. But these days it's hard to find a full-throated communist anywhere in the world.
O'Reilly's accusation isn't even logical. How can he know if I secretly adore Karl Marx, if it's a secret?
For the record, I'm not a communist and I don't secretly adore Karl Marx.
Ordinarily I don't bother repeating anything Bill O'Reilly says. But this particular whopper is significant because it represents what O'Reilly and Fox News, among others, are doing to the national dialogue.
They're burying it in doo-doo.
O'Reilly based his claim on an interview I did last week with Jon Stewart on the Daily Show, in which I argued that because America's big corporations were now global we could no longer rely on them to make necessary investments in human capital or to lobby for public investments in education, infrastructure, and basic R&D. So, logically, government has to step in.
Since when does an argument for public investment in education, infrastructure, and basic R&D make someone a communist or a secret adorer of Karl Marx?
Obviously, O'Reilly has no interest in arguing anything. Ad hominem attacks are always the last refuges of intellectual boors lacking any logic or argument. (Whoops, I think I just stooped to name-calling. Sorry, Bill.)
Yet this is what's happening to all debate all over America: It's disappearing. All we're left with is a nasty residue.
In Washington, Democrats and Republicans no longer even talk. They just vent charges and counter-charges.
The 2012 election doesn't seem likely to clarify any issue. At this moment the candidates and their surrogates are debating the treatment of dogs.
Across the nation, conservatives right-wingers and liberal or progressive lefties have stopped debating their respective views, or even listening to anyone they disagree with. They just find broadcasters and bloggers who confirm their views.
We're even sorting by belief according to where we live. Today your neighbors are more likely to agree with your politics than disagree. We've settled into like-minded enclaves where we don't need to think because everyone we meet confirms what we assume we already know.
It's not that the nation is more polarized than it's been in the past. America has been through searing conflicts, some within the living memories of most of us. The communist witch-hunts of the 1950s were followed by the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War, battles over womens' reproductive rights and gay marriage.
What makes America's current polarization remarkable isn't the severity of our disagreements but our utter lack of engagement debating them.
So many Americans are so angry and frustrated these days -- vulnerable to loss of job and healthcare and home, without a shred of economic security -- they're easy prey for demagogues offering simple answers and ready scapegoats. Take, for example, Bill O'Reilly and his colleagues at Fox News.
But people can only learn from others who disagree with them -- or at least from witnessing debates between people who respectfully and civilly disagree. Without respect and civility, it's not a debate -- it's just name-calling.
A democracy depends on public deliberation and debate. Without it, the members of a society have no means of understanding what they believe or why. The Lincoln-Douglas debates were notable not because they solved anything but because they helped Americans clarify where they agreed and disagreed on the wrenching issue of slavery.
Hence the danger today -- when deliberation has stopped.
This morning I left a message on Bill O'Reilly's office phone asking him to invite me onto his show to debate whether public investments in education and infrastructure are needed.
What are the odds he'll invite me on?
Robert Reich is Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley. He has served in three national administrations, most recently as secretary of labor under President Bill Clinton. He has written twelve books.

Romney Thinks He'll Be God Someday

He'll never be President, so I guess he should have something to look forward to.

He likes cheesy grits and firing people, you know.

I don't think anyone would disagree with the statement that the Republicon party is merely an extension of Big Business.
Let me rephrase that, I don't think anyone who can read and understands what they read, would disagree with the statement that the GOP is an extension of Big Business.
Naturally, most people ask, “Why would someone who isn't wealthy vote for the GOP?”

Well, this is the U.S., the original model for the film “Idiopcracy”, and I think studies bear out the conclusion that most Republicon voters are not well educated, and even, in most cases, not very intelligent.
This website ran an article a couple of months ago entitled “Studies Show Republican Voters Are less Intelligent”, and not only was the article not challenged, the report itself was not challenged.

The Republicon nominee this time around will be Mittens Romney, AKA Governor Retch A Sketch,( His campaign manager said his policies are like the Mattel toy, shake it up and you can start brand new), he has promised to end Medicare and to make things tougher for elderly workers to retire.

He has also promised to abolish Planned Parenthood.
He doesn't think poor people should have access to health care or methods to prevent unwanted pregnancies

He also believes that when he dies he will become a God with his own planet to rule.
You can't make this up, ask him.

Since he doesn't speak to working people, ask his Bishop, or any Mormon.

This guy is such a phony.
In one of his major speeches, in Michigan, he said, “I like the trees here, they are just the right height.”
This was his idea of how working people talk.
He was just showing that he can be a “regular guy.”
Like the time he went to the “Waffle house” pointed to his plate, and informed the reporters, “These are pancakes.”

Let's take a look at the last few Republicon Presidents: Reagan, Bush and Bush.
One was an idiot, one was a Moron and the other one had Alzheimers.

Republicons often say, “Yeah, but the Democrats had a President that actually had sex with a woman.”
To that, we can only say, “That's true. Democrats have sex, and enjoy it.”
Rich Sanitarium said, “I only have sex to procreate.”
Oh, good, that means there will be more corporate stooges just like him.

You know, you just can't reason with a Republicon.
They just won't listen.
They are too busy trying to remember what Rush Limbaugh said this morning to hear anything factual.

Which reminds me, have they canned Limbaugh yet?
